Site visit, Check Roadway Compaction

 County has Painted the Concrete Blocks to try to catch drivers attention.

 Contractor was loading out equipment when I arrived, I'm here to check roadway compaction.

 Had dump truck drive over roadway, still have soft spots that are pumping. contractor will dig up areas and I will be back in the morning to check for the final time before Base is applied.

 Old Culvert was in the creek, ask contractor to remove it.

 Rip Rap was placed to close to the roadway, contractor staked the Guardrail placement and found that they will need to grade and move rip rap over two feet to the stream to allow for shoulder behind guardrail.

 Contractor had started placing Rip Rap, When I arrived I noticed that they was placing rip rap in the wrong place. Got them on the right page and we checked the roadway and it was still pumping.

 The signs and barricaded was not up to standards, I called and discussed with engineering . he had me call the road department and had them make some changes.

 Contractor had ask me to visit site to check sub grade, it rain this morning so it was not a good roadway. I had the dig up some areas to dry out or place with good fill.
